About The Doctors

Dr. Edmond H. Henken received his Doctorate Degree in Dentistry from the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. After practicing general dentistry for two years, he returned to Loma Linda University School of Dentistry to obtain a Masters Degree allowing him to specialize in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Having studied anatomy under his father, Herbert W. Henken, M.D., Dr. Henken, in his Master's thesis, used magnetic resonance imaging to map the orofacial muscles. Training at Loma Linda University School of Orthodontics under the philosophy of Robert Ricketts has provided Dr. Henken with skills which focus on growth and development, allowing him not only to align the teeth, but to develop balanced facial features and a "winning smile". He was proud to join Dr. David Skersick in March, 2000. Together they focus on early treatment and developmental facial orthopedics as well as providing highly skilled professional treatment for teens and adults.
Dr. David M. Kennedy graduated Magna Cum Laude from UCLA School of Dentistry and received his specialty certificate in orthodontics and master's degree in craniofacial biology from USC. He will present his research on the eruption patterns of permanent teeth in different ethnic groups this summer at the American Association of Orthodontics conference in Las Vegas. Dr. Kennedy is excited to join Drs. Henken and Skersick as well as their highly skilled staff and continue to build on their strong commitment to facial harmony and balance by building the "winning smile.” He and his wife Marie have two young daughters, Leila and Mia.

THE INVESTMENT OF A LIFETIME
A "winning smile" doesn't happen overnight.
But it's worth it.
A "winning smile" is an investment that pays lifetime dividends in many valuable ways
Patients look better. They feel better about themselves.
Some people could call those benefits cosmetic, but it's a fact of life in our society that people who look good tend to do better.
Besides, doesn't everyone have the right to face the future..with a smile?
Equally significant, our facial orthopedics approach assures each patient of healthy dental function.
Our fees represent the lifetime value of the premium quality treatment we provide and the extended professional partnership we commit to with our patients.
All fees, like everything else we do, are discussed fully. In advance. Emergency treatment is included, as well as retainers and other follow-up care. Payment can be made over the course of treatment; payment schedules are easily arranged
There are no hidden costs. No pressure. No surprises.
Except how good a "winning smile" can look.
